How Does Mediation Work?
Mediation is a structured process that guides parties toward a peaceful resolution. Here we explain each step of the journey.
8 Steps to Resolution
From your initial application to a legally valid agreement
Initial Application
Complete the online application form. Provide details about your conflict and select up to 3 preferred mediators from the directory.
Payment Confirmation
Pay the opening fee of $500 USD + VAT ($580 USD total). Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Case Review
Our team reviews your application within 24-48 hours to verify it's suitable for mediation and that all information is complete.
Invitation to Other Party
CMA-BCS contacts the other party via institutional email to invite them to participate in the mediation process.
Mediator Selection
The other party reviews proposed mediators and selects their preference. CMA-BCS assigns the mediator accepted by both parties.
Mediation Sessions
The mediator conducts facilitated dialogue sessions where both parties present their perspectives and work toward an agreement.
Agreement or Closure
If parties reach an agreement, it's documented in writing. If no agreement is reached, the case is closed and parties may seek other alternatives.
Legal Validation
The mediation agreement has legal force and can be validated before competent authorities for enforcement.

Agreement Reached
Parties reach a mutually satisfactory agreement that is documented and has legal validity.
No Agreement
Parties do not reach an agreement. The case is closed and they may explore other options like arbitration or litigation.
Referred to Arbitration
Parties agree to submit the case to arbitration to obtain a binding decision from a third party.
