Mediation in Spanish

Mediation sessions

$350 – $450 USD

per session hour

Agreement drafting

$750 – $1,500 USD

In the event of a successful mediation

In the event of a successful mediation

  • Or the equivalent in Mexican pesos (MXN) at the exchange rate in effect on the payment date.
  • The amount within each range depends on the legal and financial complexity of the matter.
  • "Bilingual proceedings" applies when sessions, information analysis, or document drafting are conducted wholly or partially in a language other than Spanish.
  • These fees are separate from the $500 USD + VAT preliminary-review fee paid to start an application.

Mediator Appointment

The parties select the mediator by mutual agreement. If no agreement is reached, CMA-BCS makes the appointment, taking into account the nature of the matter and the preferences expressed by the parties.

Recusal

Either party may request the recusal of the mediator when grounds exist that compromise their impartiality. The request must be submitted in writing to CMA-BCS, which will resolve it in accordance with the internal regulations.
